Get Skilled stands offer in-depth knowledge about certain industries. You can discover new talents and try a variety of different skills when you get hands-on with a Get Skilled activity.

Experts are always on hand to help as you learn something new and try work-based skills; the aim is to ensure each Get Skilled stand represents a different career sector so we can promote as wide a range as possible to you, the visitors.

Get skilled in Healthcare
Presented by NHS Scotland Careers – Hosted by NHS Aberdeen
Are you washing your hands as well as you should be? See for yourself with the glitterbug.
Try your hand at first aid and practice bandaging and CPR on a patient simulator.
Meet a real life therapet dog, a therapet visit’s hospital wards to rekindle memories and de-stress patients.

Get skilled in Engineering & Mathematics
Presented by Robert Gordon University
Take part in RGU’s remotely operated vehicle (ROV) football competition, put your skills to the test and learn how to operate a mini ROV to play football in the water.
Immerse yourself into a 3d world through virtual reality and take a look around the virtual world just you would in real life.
See a demonstration of real life Hollywood-style password cracking, can you choose the password that takes the longest to crack?

Get Skilled 3:
Get skilled in STEM
Presented by North East Scotland College
Race against the clock and assemble a human’s internal body, compete against a robot and see who can solve a Rubik’s cube the fastest, and guess how many PC parts you can name. You can also experience physics in action as a bike wheel defies gravity, watch dancing gloop with non-newtonion fluid and examine the tiny creatures that are all around us.

 

APPRENTICESHIP THEATRE

The Apprenticeship Theatre offers a full programme of exhibitor led seminars promoting apprenticeship options for students. Sessions will have a limited number of spaces and booked groups will be given priority to attend.

The Live Opportunities Board aims to provide you with the chance to find out about current vacancies available to you in your region.

Exhibitors use this board to post job vacancies, volunteer opportunities, traineeships, apprenticeship schemes and any other opportunities.
