As a group attending Skills North East we want to make sure you have everything you need to plan your visit and gain the most from the time at the event. These resources contain helpful and important information, and downloadable materials to share with your students and other staff attending the event.

To plan your visit before, during and after the event please read the Group Visit Guidelines which include important information.
Lesson plan & student worksheets
To encourage students to engage with employers, colleges, training providers and impartial advisers at the event we recommend you share this lesson plan presentation during a lesson or assembly. Students that are prepared before attending an event gain the maximum benefits from their visit.

Promote the event
Promote the event to families and your wider community by sending information home, uploading details on to your website and social media, displaying posters and leaflets.
From the Careers and Enterprise Company:
All exhibitors will be sent an Exhibitor Manual which contains essential information for the event, including:
– Electrics, furniture and AV order forms
– Risk assessment to complete
– Event access times
– Venue and parking details
Please note the Exhibitor Manual is emailed to all booked exhibitors 8 weeks prior to the event taking place. Any organisations who have booked to exhibit after this time will receive the Exhibitor Manual following their confirmation of booking.
In the meantime you can take a look through the Guide to Exhibiting brochure which will give you some handy hints and tips on planning your stand, marketing your presence at the event and following up.
