Hull City Council is the governing body for the unitary authority and city of Kingston upon Hull. It was created in 1972 as the successor to the Corporation of Hull, which was also known as Hull Corporation and founded in 1440 by Royal charter.
The Humber Local Enterprise partnership works with local stakeholders to maximise economic opportunities for the region. This work includes raising the skills profile of the Humber by working in close partnership with Hull, East Riding, North and North East Lincolnshire local authorities. Our vision is to deliver an appropriately skilled, motivated and productive workforce to drive economic growth and sustainability for the region. We are working together to improve the quality, accessibility and dissemination of labour market information and careers education, information, advice and guidance, empowering local people to make informed choices.
