The seminar programme will explore this year’s show theme, The Changing World of Work helping you to generate new relationships and enable you to feel motivated and inspired and better equipped to support young people and career seekers. Each session will be a 20minute talk followed by a 10minute live Q&A with the speakers, a time for you to have your questions answered.

There are over 350 careers available in the NHS. You’d be surprised how many of them don’t require a degree or aren’t directly patient facing. It’s not just doctors and nurses! Join this session with Abi to hear about what’s on offer in the NHS, the routes in and job seeking tips.

This session will cover how you can apply blended learning approaches to help students identify and develop the key employability skills identified by leading employers to support them in leading successful careers.

2:30pm – 13:00pm, Supporting post 16 options for Young People in Schools and Colleges
This session will provide an update on post-16 options – apprenticeships, traineeships, and T Levels. It will cover how these options fit together in the post-16 landscape, what the key differences are, and why they may be right for your students. You will also hear about the ASK programme and the new offer to schools and FE Colleges for the summer term.

In this session, you’ll get insights into how the world of work is changing based on The Edge Foundation’s extensive research and special guest Dr Fiona Aldridge, Director for Policy and Research at the Learning and Work Institute. You will also hear what that means for careers leaders and careers practice with Ryan Gibson, National System Leader – Careers at the Academies Enterprise Trust.
